The Related Group is teaming up with Merrimac Ventures to build a condo complex on Pompano Beach’s beachfront.

The Related Group has joined Merrimac Ventures to develop a fourth oceanfront condo in Pompano Beach. The Miami-based developer is already building the sold-out Solemar condo and recently broke ground on the Casamar Residences. Related Group also partnered with BH Group to purchase an oceanfront development site.

Dev Motwani of Merrimac Ventures secured approval in 2015 to develop 92 condos on a 1.71-acre property at 1350 S. Ocean Blvd. in Pompano Beach. Motwani had previously co-developed the property across the street into apartments, which he sold in 2020. The condo site has remained vacant.

The Development Review Committee will consider a new design for the 92-unit condo at 1350 S. Ocean Blvd. on June 7. The size of the project would remain the same, with 28 stories and 335,330 square feet. The building would feature 4,000 square feet of restaurants and 193 parking spaces. Nichols Architects of Coral Gables designed the project.

Related Group has joined Merrimac Ventures as a co-developer on the project, similar to their partnership on the Crosby Miami World Center condo.

According to Motwani: “We were just waiting to start the condo as the Pompano Beach market was greatly improving. It will be a world-class luxury oceanfront condo with 92 spacious residences, and 27 boat slips across the street.”

The design of the new condo development in Pompano Beach has been updated to reflect the city’s growing reputation as a luxury destination. Developer Motwani is expected to launch sales later this year, but he has not yet disclosed pricing.

The new development will offer a variety of condo sizes, from standard units of 2,033 to 3,507 square feet to penthouses of 5,910 to 5,974 square feet. There will be 22 two-bedroom units, 22 three-bedroom units, 44 four-bedroom units, and four five-bedroom penthouses.

These large condos are well-suited for wealthy families looking to relocate to Florida permanently instead of seasonal visitors. The third floor will feature a pool deck with a bar and cabanas.
